What surprising reason could have stopped Jennifer Lopez from entering the Chanel store in Istanbul?

World-famous American pop icon Jennifer Lopez faced an unexpected moment in Istanbul on Monday when she was initially denied entry to the Chanel boutique, which was reportedly at full capacity.

According to Turkish media, while visiting Istinye Park—one of Istanbul’s premier shopping malls—a day before her concert, a security guard stopped Lopez from entering the Chanel store. She calmly accepted the situation, saying, “Okay, no problem,” and walked away without protest.

Later, the Chanel staff invited her back inside, but Lopez politely declined.

Despite the Chanel incident, the singer enjoyed a lengthy shopping spree at nearby luxury stores Celine and Beymen, spending tens of thousands of dollars, sources revealed.

Meanwhile, preparations for Lopez’s Istanbul concert are massive, promising one of Türkiye’s biggest shows this year. The stage, inspired by Istanbul’s famous seven hills, was custom-built entirely in Türkiye, stretching 72 meters and assembled from materials delivered by 70 trucks.

A technical team of 187 people set up 800 lights, 184 speakers, and a colossal LED screen with a 20,000-pixel resolution. Additionally, 1,500 staff members are working behind the scenes to ensure the event runs flawlessly.

The Istanbul stop on the “Up All Night: Live in 2025” tour is drawing fans from across Türkiye and neighboring countries, with tickets almost completely sold out.
